SAINT HUBERT - Cornwall & Devon
The Saint Hubert, a sailing vessel sunk by a submarine in 1916, rests at a very accessible 17 meters. It's a nice easy dive, making it a good option if you’re looking to get some wreck time in without deep decompression. Over the years, the wreck has broken down quite a bit, but you can still make out the general shape of a sailing ship and get a real sense of its history as you poke around the hull. We often find conger eels tucked into the darker crevices, and crabs scuttling across the metal plates. Visibility can be a bit variable here, as is common in the UK, but on a good day, it’s a perfectly enjoyable dive for anyone keen on a bit of history.
