SARLA (POSSIBLY) - Cornwall & Devon
The Sarla, a fishing vessel that went down in 1977, now rests at 46 metres off the Cornwall and Devon coast. It’s a good, solid wreck dive for those comfortable with deeper profiles and the generally chillier, darker conditions of UK waters. We found the stern section relatively intact, offering some interesting penetration points for suitably qualified divers, though always exercise caution. You'll likely spot conger eels in the deeper crevices and plenty of wrasse darting around the superstructure, which is now well-colonised by plumose anemones. It's not a dive for the absolute beginner, but for experienced wreck enthusiasts, it offers a decent rummage.
