SCALDIS - Cornwall & Devon
The Scaldis isn't a showstopper, but it's a solid dive for those who appreciate a bit of mystery and a good wreck rummage. Sitting at 32 metres, this fishing vessel is fairly broken up, though you can still make out the general shape, particularly the engine room area. We've often found conger eels tucked into the collapsed sections, and schools of scad hover above the main debris field. Visibility can be hit or miss in Lyme Bay, so pick your day carefully, but when it’s good, it’s a peaceful, exploratory dive, best suited for experienced divers comfortable with deeper wrecks and potential low visibility.
