The SGB 7 is a fascinating piece of history sitting on the seabed off the Cornish coast. This steamship, sunk in 1942 after taking a hit to its boiler during a convoy attack, lies at a manageable 30 metres. We've found the wreck relatively intact, with enough structure to swim around and peer into. Expect to see plenty of local wrasse darting between the plates, and often, we've spotted conger eels tucked into the darker recesses. It’s a rewarding dive for those who appreciate maritime history and enjoy exploring a well-preserved wreck without extreme depths or currents.
