The Shaleen is a small fishing vessel, just over 9 metres long, that went down in 1991. We find her sitting upright at 43 metres, a depth that makes her a solid technical dive. She was abandoned after reportedly taking on water with a fouled propeller, and you can still get a sense of that struggle down there. Being relatively intact and in deeper water, she's become a decent artificial reef, attracting the usual suspects of local fish and crustaceans. We've seen conger eels tucked into her compartments and spider crabs picking their way across the deck. She's a good target for divers looking for a deeper wreck with some history, without the crowds you sometimes get on more accessible sites.
