With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - SHANE offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Shane, a small motor vessel, settled on the seabed in 2007. At just 4.3 metres long and sitting in a maximum of two metres of water, it’s less a dive and more a snorkel or a free-diving exploration. We often find the wreck acts as a sheltered little reef, attracting blennies and small crabs in its nooks and crannies. It’s a gentle spot, perfect for a relaxed surface exploration on a calm day, especially if you’re looking for something different from the usual shore entry.
