SILVER SPRAY - Cornwall & Devon
The Silver Spray, a barge sunk in 1953, sits in a shallow six metres off the coast of Cornwall. It’s a site that’s perfect for a relaxed dive, especially if you’re keen on exploring an accessible wreck without any depth challenges. We’ve always found it’s a good spot for spotting wrasse darting between the metalwork and the occasional crab peering out from a crevice. The wreck itself is reasonably intact, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around in, often covered in anemones and small colonies of soft coral. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, and a nice way to spend an hour underwater.
