SKOPELOS SKY (AFTER PART) - Cornwall & Devon
The aft section of the *Skopelos Sky* rests in a surprisingly shallow four meters, making it a truly accessible wreck dive off the coast. What's left of the carrier vessel, a casualty of a 1979 winter storm, is now largely broken up, but you can still pick out significant sections of plating and machinery. It’s not about penetration here, rather it's about exploring the twisted metal structures that have become home to blennies, wrasse, and plenty of feathery hydroids. We've often seen spider crabs scuttling amongst the wreckage. This site is a good choice for newer divers looking to experience their first wreck, or for anyone wanting a relaxed second dive.
