SPRINGTIDE - Cornwall & Devon
Springtide, a small yacht sunk in 1981 after a gas explosion, rests near the shore. We've found it a good, easy dive, especially for those new to wreck diving or looking for a relaxed afternoon. The wreck itself, while not huge at 16.8m, has a melancholic character, her lines still clear despite the years underwater. Schools of pollack often hang just above the hull, and we’ve spotted dogfish tucked into the sand nearby, making it an interesting little ecosystem to explore. It’s accessible and shallow, a decent spot to shake off the rust or introduce a buddy to their first wreck.
