SS Kyarra - Cornwall & Devon
The SS Kyarra, off the coast of Cornwall, sits upright at 28 metres, a proper old wreck dive. She’s remarkably intact for a century underwater, giving you a real sense of her scale as you descend. We often find conger eels tucked into her holds and engine room, alongside various wrasse and pollack patrolling the superstructure. The stern is particularly interesting, with the prop shaft clearly visible, making it a solid pick for intermediate divers who appreciate a good historical wreck penetration. Just be mindful of the currents; they can pick up, so timing your dive with slack water is key.
