With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - STEEVE offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The STEEVE wreck, sitting at a shallow 8 metres, is a proper introduction to Cornwall’s wreck diving. This old fishing vessel went down in 1986, and now she’s a home for all sorts of critters. We often find pollack lurking in the shadowy nooks, and crabs scuttling over the deck plates. It’s not a massive wreck, but there’s enough structure for a good poke around, especially the wheelhouse area. For newer divers, or those looking for an easy second dive, the STEEVE is a solid choice. Just be mindful of fishing line, it is a working coast after all.
