STELLA M - Cornwall & Devon

The Stella M, an 11-metre fishing vessel sunk in 1987, is one of those deeper wrecks that feels like a proper adventure. Dropping down to 34 metres, you’ll find her sitting upright, largely intact despite the years. The wheelhouse is still there, and you can peer into the holds, which are often home to conger eels and squat lobsters. Because of the depth, we’d suggest this one for experienced divers comfortable with a decompression obligation and cooler water. The structure itself is a magnet for local wrasse and crabs, and sometimes you’ll spot dogfish tucked away underneath her hull.
