STRATHALBYN - Cornwall & Devon
The Strathalbyn, a steamship that met its end in 1916, sits upright at 26 meters, an accessible and intriguing dive for those keen on wreck exploration. We found her superstructure still largely intact, offering plenty of swim-throughs and sheltered nooks. Look closely and you'll spot plenty of conger eels peering from dark corners, along with inquisitive pollack darting through the broken decking. She’s definitely worth a look for divers comfortable with the depth and a bit of current, particularly if you enjoy the atmosphere of an older wreck.
