    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

The T R THOMPSON is a proper piece of history down there off the Cornwall coast. This steamship, torpedoed in 1918 by a German U-boat, lies in 27 metres of water, largely intact, and stretches a considerable 109 metres. You'll find it well-colonised by local fish life – expect to see plenty of pollack darting amongst the twisted metal, and often a grumpy conger eel or two peering out from a dark corner. It’s a dive that rewards careful exploration, particularly good for those who appreciate a wreck with a story, offering a genuinely immersive experience into its past.
