TANGARA - Cornwall & Devon
The Tangara, a fishing vessel that went down in 1986 after springing a leak, now rests at 50 metres. She's a good, solid wreck for those with the appropriate deep-diving qualifications, offering a chance to explore a small but intact wreck. At 17.7 metres long, you can trace her lines and see where the fishing gear would have been. We’ve seen conger eels tucked into the superstructure and a surprising number of wrasse darting in and out of the cracks. It’s a dark dive, as you’d expect at this depth in UK waters, but the sense of discovery is strong.
