TEMPEST - Cornwall & Devon
The Tempest wreck, off the coast of Cornwall, sits in shallow water, making it surprisingly accessible for a range of divers. We've often spent an hour just poking around her ribs and plating, now thoroughly encrusted with plumose anemones and dead man's fingers. You'll find plenty of small crabs and blennies tucked into every crevice, and sometimes a dogfish or two resting on the sand nearby. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, ideal for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed dive without the demands of deeper sites. Visibility can shift quickly here, so picking a calm day with an incoming tide usually gives the best conditions.
