TIGGER - Cornwall & Devon

Tigger isn't your grand, sprawling wreck, and that's precisely why we love it. This isn't about deep exploration or penetration, but rather a perfect little slice of history nestled just off the coast. The yacht, a modest 6.1m, settled onto the seabed back in '75, and now sits in an incredibly shallow two metres of water. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely snorkel or a very relaxed dive, perfect for those days when the deeper sites are too choppy, or you just fancy something easy. We've spent hours here, just observing. The gentle surge moves through the remnants of the hull, and you'll spot wrasse darting between rusty fittings and delicate anemones clinging to every surface. It feels like peering into a secret garden, a small, vibrant world that’s taken over a man-made structure. Our favourite time to visit is on a calm, sunny morning, when the light penetrates right to the seabed, illuminating the wreck and all its tiny inhabitants. It’s a gentle reminder that even the smallest wrecks can hold a quiet beauty.
