TYNE - Cornwall & Devon
The TYNE, a steamship lost in 1912, lies broken across Bonit Rock, a casualty of its journey from Alderney to London. While the main wreck sits deep, parts of the wreckage are scattered in much shallower water, offering an interesting exploration for divers comfortable with a bit of current. We often find pollack and wrasse darting through the rusted plates and ribs, with crabs tucked into every crevice. It’s a site that speaks to history, a nice blend of metal and marine life, particularly good for those who enjoy piecing together a story underwater.
