With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - UB 37 offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Diving the UB 37 off the coast of Cornwall and Devon is a proper expedition. This German submarine, sunk in 1917, rests at 60 meters, making it a dive for experienced technical teams. We found her in remarkably good condition for a wreck of her age and depth, largely intact at 36.9 meters long. Exploring the conning tower and hull offers a real sense of history, with various fish and crabs making their home in the structure's crevices. Visibility can be challenging, but on a good day, the low light adds to the atmospheric dive.
