VICTOR-MAURICE - Cornwall & Devon

Diving the Victor Maurice isn't for the faint of heart, or indeed, the shallow diver. At 58 metres, this is serious technical diving territory, but for those with the training, it’s a brilliant example of a well-preserved trawler wreck. We love how intact she is, sitting upright on the seabed, her mast still reaching towards the surface. Drop down and you can spend a good chunk of your bottom time exploring the wheelhouse, the hold, and her distinctive trawling gear. She's an impressive sight, especially when the visibility kicks in and you can take in her full 18-metre length. Inside the wreck, conger eels are usually lurking, and outside, crabs and lobsters have made the structure their home. This wreck offers a true sense of exploration for advanced divers comfortable with deep profiles and deco obligations. We’d suggest a sidemount configuration here, as it makes getting into some of the tighter spots a bit easier. Plan your gas, watch your narcosis, and you're in for a real treat.
