WARRIOR 2 - Cornwall & Devon

The Warrior 2 holds a special place in our hearts, a deep dive that truly rewards the effort. Sunk in 1940 after being bombed by German aircraft, this isn't some scattered debris; it’s a proper wreck, still recognisable as a vessel, settled upright at 45 metres. Dropping down onto her feels like entering a time capsule. You’ll find the deck littered with brass portholes, sometimes even the odd piece of crockery if you look closely, remnants of a life interrupted. We love the way the light filters down, creating an almost ethereal glow over the structure. This is a dive for experienced divers, no doubt about it. The depth means careful planning, but the reward is immense. We've spent dives just exploring the bow, feeling the sheer scale of it. The wreck itself has become a fantastic artificial reef. Expect to see conger eels peering from every dark opening, huge lobsters tucked into crevices, and schools of pollock circling above the mast. Our favourite time to dive her is on a slack tide, when the current drops and you can really take your time, letting your eyes adjust to the deeper blues and greens. It’s a somber, beautiful dive, offering a tangible connection to history and a thriving ecosystem all in one.
