Wrecks2Reefs - Northumberland & Northeast
The team at Wrecks2Reefs are, quite simply, the gatekeepers to some seriously underrated diving. Forget what you think you know about UK waters; these folks will show you the real deal. They’re PADI specialists, perfect if you’re looking to get certified or just want to explore the chilly, often rewarding, depths of the Northeast. We’d pick Wrecks2Reefs if we were after proper UK wreck diving without the fuss of complicated logistics. Our favourite thing about diving with them is their unpretentious approach. You’ll be pulling on thick drysuits, feeling the bracing North Sea air, and then dropping onto historical wrecks like the *Oslofjord*, often surrounded by curious wrasse and the occasional lurking conger eel. We love the feeling of descent through that green water, watching the wreck materialise, a ghostly outline at first, then solid metal. Visibility can swing, obviously, but on a good day, it’s surprisingly clear, maybe 10-15 metres, enough to really appreciate the scale. They know the tides intimately, which is crucial here, so you often hit the slack water just right. If you’re not shy about a bit of chill and want to experience proper British diving, Wrecks2Reefs are your people.
