M3 - Northumberland & Northeast

The M3 wreck in Northumberland offers a surprisingly engaging dive, especially for those looking to potter around a smaller, shallower site. This 20-meter barge, declared a dangerous wreck, rests at a maximum depth of 9 meters, making it ideal for longer bottom times and less experienced divers. We’ve found the structure itself, while not massive, provides plenty of nooks and crannies for exploration. Look closely and you’ll spot crabs scuttling amongst the remains, with various fish species darting in and out of the metalwork. It’s a good little dive for shaking off the rust or getting comfortable with wreck penetration, even if it’s just peeking into the open sections.
