The *Major*, a barge sunk back in 1895 after a run-in with a dredger, offers a solid, shallow wreck dive just off Canning Dock Island. It sits at a comfortable 10 meters, making it accessible for most divers and a good choice if you're looking for an easy, no-decompression dive. You'll find the remains of the hull spread across the sandy seabed, with plates and beams forming nooks for crabs and small fish. It’s a good little rummage, perfect for a relaxed dive to practice buoyancy or just enjoy the simple charm of history beneath the waves. The visibility can be typical for the North Sea, so go on a calm day for the best views.
