Porth Ysgaden - Northumberland & Northeast

Porth Ysgaden makes for a decent training dive, or a simple shore entry if you're keen to get wet without much fuss. At a maximum depth of 6m, it’s a good spot to practice skills or just potter around in the shallows. You’ll find plenty of small crabs scuttling over the rocks and, if you look closely, some blennies poking out from crevices. It’s certainly no blockbuster, but for an easy dip in the North Sea, it does the trick. We often head here when we need a quick refresh before heading to deeper sites.
