SHEARWATER - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Shearwater* is a good little dive in the Northumberland area, especially when the weather is behaving. We’re talking shallow, just 6 metres, which makes for decent bottom times and easy navigation. She’s a launch vessel, went down after a fire, and what’s left of her 14.6-metre length is spread across the seabed. You'll find plenty of crabs tucked into the nooks and crannies, and we’ve often seen blennies darting between the plates. It’s an easygoing dive, perfect for knocking the rust off your skills or for anyone who enjoys a gentle poke around a bit of history without the deep-water pressure.
