With 118+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and orcas - SMUGGLER offers some of Northumberland & Northeast's richest wreck diving.
Smuggler is a shallow wreck, accessible from the shore. The remains are spread across the seabed, mostly broken up, with some larger sections offering shelter for crabs and small fish. It’s a good spot for new divers looking to practice navigation in confined spaces, or for snorkelers on a calm day. Visibility can drop quickly after a spell of bad weather, so pick your day carefully.
