Spring Lakes - Northumberland & Northeast

Alright, Spring Lakes. If you’re dipping your fins in for the first time, or just need a calm spot to practice skills, this is it. It’s a shallow quarry, topping out at 5m, which means decent light penetration on a good day. You’ll find the usual quarry bits and pieces – we’ve seen shopping trolleys, old bathtubs, and a surprising number of rubber ducks. It's a reliable spot for buoyancy work and getting comfortable in kit, especially when the sea's a bit frisky.
