SUSTAIN - Northumberland & Northeast

The Sustain, a fishing vessel that went down in 1983, sits at 46 metres. It’s a good target for those looking to add a deeper UK wreck to their logbook. We found the stern section, where she took on water, particularly interesting. Look closely and you’ll see the snagged propeller that sealed her fate. Despite her small size, the wreck has attracted plenty of local crabs and lobsters, with a few curious dogfish often patrolling the perimeter. This site is best suited for experienced divers comfortable with deeper technical profiles and cooler water.
