The Afton Wreck - Northumberland & Northeast

The Afton Wreck offers a proper North Sea experience, sitting upright and largely intact. We often find her decks draped in dead man's fingers, and the holds are usually home to plump cod and inquisitive pollack. It’s a great rummage for divers who enjoy poking around superstructure and imagining her working life. She can be a bit of a challenge with strong currents sometimes, but on a good day, the visibility makes for a rewarding dive, especially if you’re into the history of these old ships.
