THE QUIET MAN - Northumberland & Northeast

The Quiet Man, just off the Point of Ayre, is a decent little wreck dive, especially for those looking for something relatively shallow. We found her settled upright at around 8 metres, a 12-metre fishing vessel that went down in '96. It’s a good poke around, with the wheelhouse still mostly intact and open for a quick look inside. Crabs love to hide in the nooks, and we’ve spotted plenty of blennies tucked into the deck plating. It’s a pretty easy dive, suits newer wreck enthusiasts or anyone after a relaxed second dip.
