Wastwater - Northumberland & Northeast

Wastwater offers a cold, dark freshwater dive, typical of an inland UK lake. Visibility can shift dramatically, from a few metres to just over ten, depending on recent weather. We've found it’s a good spot for perfecting navigation or testing new gear, especially if you’re comfortable with low light and chilly conditions. Expect to see little more than the occasional trout or perch, and the lakebed silts easily.
