EPHRAM - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The Ephram is a relatively new addition to Scapa Flow’s wreck roster, a decommissioned fishing vessel that went down under tow in 2008. Sitting upright at 56m, its stern is a good place to start, dropping down the line to a largely intact wheelhouse. We’ve found the mast and crane provide a great habitat for local fish, with wolf fish sometimes peeking out from beneath. It’s a deep dive, making it one for experienced divers comfortable with decompression, but the visibility here can be surprisingly good, allowing a proper appreciation of the wreck’s details.
