The G 91, a German destroyer scuttled in 1919, lies in relatively shallow water at 13m in Scapa Flow. This makes her a great option for divers looking for a longer bottom time without the hefty deco. You’ll find her mostly intact, though obviously she’s been down a while. Her bow section is quite impressive, and we’ve spent many a dive poking around the various compartments and machinery, now home to plump wrasse and cheeky crabs. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, you get a real sense of her scale as she rests on the seabed. She’s a solid pick for anyone keen on wreck diving history without the extreme depths.
