KRONPRINZ WILHELM - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The Kronprinz Wilhelm, one of Scapa Flow's mighty German battleships, offers a dive that truly gets under your skin. We love descending into that gloom, seeing the enormous hull materialise, draped in kelp and anemones. You’ll find her mostly upside down, but sections of her triple-expansion engines are exposed in a cavernous mid-ship break, a fantastic swim-through if conditions are calm. Keep an eye out for the resident wrasse darting between the plates, and the slow creep of dead man's fingers coral across the rivets. She's a big beast, and exploring the scale of her is what makes this dive so compelling, perfect for experienced wreck divers comfortable with colder water and overhead environments.
