S 36 (BOW SECTION) - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The bow section of the S 36 destroyer sits upright, a proper introduction to Scapa Flow's wreck diving. You'll find it fairly intact, the forecastle providing plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around in, often with a curious wrasse or two darting out. It’s a nice, easy dive for shaking out the cobwebs, particularly if you’re getting reacquainted with drysuit diving or just want a relaxed potter on a historical wreck. We often see plumose anemones carpeting sections of the hull, adding a splash of colour to the steel.
