SIHERITE - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The Siherite, a trawler sunk back in 1935, offers a really accessible wreck dive at just 10 metres. We often find it’s a good choice for newer wreck divers, or for shaking off the rust after a bit of a break. You’ll find her relatively intact, with the steel hull providing plenty of nooks and crannies for exploring. Look for the single boiler and triple expansion engine, now home to plenty of squat lobsters and small blennies. Visibility here can vary, but on a good day, the light plays nicely across the structure, making for a relaxed dive.
