SILANION - Scapa Flow, Orkney

The Silanion, a German merchant vessel scuttled in 1919, lies upright and relatively intact in just 10 metres of water. This makes it an ideal, relaxed dive, especially for those new to wreck diving. You can explore her cargo holds and superstructure, which now shelter crabs, lobsters, and a surprising number of wrasse. It’s a great introduction to Scapa Flow’s history without the typical depth or current challenges.
