With 140+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - STAR DIVINE offers some of Scapa Flow, Orkney's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 8-14°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Star Divine sits at 50 metres, a fishing vessel sunk in 1975 after an engine room fire. This wreck offers a good penetration dive for suitably qualified divers, with the wheelhouse and engine room accessible. We've seen conger eels poking out from various nooks, and a surprising number of squat lobsters have made the structure home. For those keen on Scapa Flow's deeper wrecks, it’s a solid dive that often gets overlooked.
