STAR OF FAITH - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The Star of Faith isn’t one of Scapa Flow's grand German fleet wrecks, but she’s a charming dive in her own right, particularly if you appreciate smaller, intact vessels. Sunk in 1982, this 11.6-metre fishing boat lies upright at 21 metres, making for a straightforward exploration. We usually find her festooned with plumose anemones, and the pilothouse is still very much there, giving a real sense of her working life. It's a relaxed dive, perfect for photographers looking to capture Orkney's incredible soft coral growth without contending with big currents. We’ve seen plenty of wrasse darting in and out of the deck fittings.
