SUNNYVALE - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The *Sunnyvale* might be one of Scapa Flow's lesser-dived wrecks, but she’s certainly got her charms, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed exploration. This fishing vessel ran aground in 1971 and now rests at a comfortable 18 metres, making her a nice option for those still building their confidence in wreck diving. You’ll find her hull fairly intact, with plenty of openings to peer into; think wheelhouse and engine room peeks, nothing too demanding. We’ve seen quite a few wrasse darting in and out of the metalwork, alongside a healthy covering of anemones and dead man’s fingers. It’s a good spot to spend an hour, particularly if the wind's up elsewhere in the flow.
