TAMARA - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The Tamara is a smaller sailing vessel, lying in about 18 metres of water, a decent option if you’re looking for a shallower wreck within Scapa Flow. She sank back in 1983, and time has definitely taken its toll on the wooden hull, but the general shape is still there, resting mostly intact on the seabed. You’ll find her draped in kelp and anemones, with plenty of crabs tucked into any crevice they can find. It’s a nice dive for knocking off some bottom time, especially if the deeper wrecks feel a bit much, or if you’re after something more relaxed.
