V70 - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The V70, one of Scapa Flow's smaller German destroyers, sits upright in just 14 metres of water. It's a fantastic starting point for anyone new to wreck diving, or just looking for a relaxed dive with plenty to see. Over a century underwater means the hull is completely carpeted in anemones and dead man's fingers, with wrasse and blennies darting in and out of the plating. You can fin along the full 82-metre length, peering into hatches and imagining its past. It’s a gentle introduction to the Flow's incredible history, often done as a second dive after one of the deeper battleships.
