Wreck of Camba - Scapa Flow, Orkney

The wreck of the Camba in Scapa Flow, she's a proper beauty, sitting upright and mostly intact on the seabed. We love a wreck where you can really get a sense of its past, and the Camba delivers. Her bow points east, rising out of the gloom as you descend, and there's something about that initial sighting that always sends a shiver down your spine, even after multiple dives. You’ll find her draped in anemones, a riot of colour against the steel, and the swim-throughs are surprisingly open, allowing you to explore her holds and superstructure with ease. We always recommend bringing a good torch; not just for peering into the darker corners, but to really pick out the vivid greens and purples of the marine growth. Look for the resident wrasse darting in and out of the plating and the occasional inquisitive seal pup that sometimes pays a visit. This is a fantastic dive for anyone keen on wreck penetration without too much challenge, offering a tangible connection to Scapa Flow’s incredible history.
