Wreck of Strona - Scapa Flow, Orkney
The Strona sits upright in Scapa Flow, a classic example of a Blockship, deliberately sunk back in 1919. It’s not the biggest wreck in the Flow, but it’s remarkably intact, making it a great dive for anyone keen on naval history and easy penetration. We often follow the cargo holds, sometimes finding the odd porthole still in place. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs clinging to the metalwork and the resident wrasse darting between the beams. It's a forgiving dive, usually with decent visibility, ideal if you're looking for a relaxed wreck exploration away from stronger currents.
