Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 102892 - Scapa Flow, Orkney

Diving Scapa Flow is always a trip back in time, and while the battleships get all the glory, some of our favourite dives are on the smaller, lesser-known wrecks. The Canmore 102892, an unnamed shipwreck, often gets overlooked, but that's precisely why we love it. There's a quiet solitude here you don't always find on the bigger sites. It’s a broken wreck, with plates scattered across the seabed, but in that chaos, you find beauty. You can spend a whole dive just picking through the debris, finding old fittings, and imagining what she once was. Shoals of saithe often hang above the structure, their silvery scales catching the light that filters down, even on a gloomy Orkney day. We'd suggest taking your time to explore the nooks and crannies where conger eels like to hide. The visibility here can be decent, especially on a neap tide, allowing you to really soak in the atmosphere. This site isn't for those chasing grand structures, but if you appreciate the subtler stories of Scapa Flow, it’s a brilliant dive for reflection and discovery.
