Scapa Flow is littered with history, but this unnamed shipwreck, Canmore 102927, has a subtle charm that we really appreciate. She sits in shallower water than some of her famous neighbours, making her an approachable dive for those less keen on deeper plunges or those wanting longer bottom times. We've often found her to be a quieter spot, offering a real sense of exploration as you fin along her length. What she lacks in dramatic superstructure, she makes up for in atmosphere and the sheer number of crabs tucked into every crevice. We love spotting the nudibranchs inching their way across the metal plates, and the resident pollack will often eye you curiously from the gloom. Our favourite part? Peering into the darker sections, imagining the ship’s past life. The visibility here can be hit-or-miss, typical for Scapa, but even in murkier conditions, the wreck’s shape is clear enough to navigate, making it a good choice when the weather elsewhere is playing up. Dive her on a calm day, and you'll find a peaceful, reflective dive.

    Safety Notes

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.
