WYNOR - Scapa Flow, Orkney
Dropping onto the WYNOR in Scapa Flow, you’re looking at a steamship that went down in 1923, sitting upright at 52m. It's a nice, intact wreck. We usually find the triple expansion engine and single boiler are the real draw, still very recognisable after all these years. It’s got a lovely growth of anemones and dead man's fingers, giving it a soft, colourful cloak that contrasts with the steel. We'd suggest this one for experienced wreck divers comfortable with deeper profiles who appreciate a well-preserved piece of maritime history.
