STORJEN - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Storjen, a 14.6m fishing vessel, lies upright at 51 metres, a decent technical dive on the Scottish East Coast. She went down in '78 after a fire, leaving her main structure largely intact. We found her a compact dive, the deck gear still recognisable, with plenty of nooks and crannies to peer into, though penetration is a squeeze for most. Look for the resident wrasse and squat lobsters making homes in the corroded hull plates. This is a dive for those who appreciate maritime history and aren't afraid of the deeper end of the recreational limits.
