Diving the *Blossom* off the Scottish East Coast feels like stepping back into a colder, harsher time. This isn’t a warm water wreck; the *Blossom* lies in often frigid, silty conditions, but that’s part of its allure. We love how atmospheric it is, a skeleton of a ship slowly surrendering to the North Sea. When you drop down, the visibility can be a challenge, but when it clears, the outline of the old trawler emerges from the gloom. It’s not a massive wreck, but there’s enough structure to navigate, especially around the bow and stern sections, which are the most intact. You'll often find small cod sheltering in crevices, and if you bring a good light, the colours of anemones and sponges are surprisingly vivid against the rusted metal. We’d suggest timing your dive for slack water, it makes exploring the exposed deck much more manageable.
